Sen. John McCain of Arizona said Thursday that President Barack Obama was “directly responsible” for last weekend’s Orlando, Fla., nightclub massacre, since he allowed the terror group Islamic State to go “unchecked.”
McCain made his comments in a Senate hallway to a small group of reporters. According to the Washington Post, McCain, a Republican who lost to Obama in the 2008 presidential election, answered a question about the debate over guns and blamed Obama for the shooting.
